A Dream of My Own 🌍✨

For years, my world has revolved around my family. I am a mother of three, and Alhamdulillah, watching my children grow, learn and achieve is one of the greatest joys of my life. I have always wanted to give them the best, support their dreams and teach them to believe in themselves.

But somewhere between taking care of everyone else, I realized that I have dreams too.

There is a part of me that wants to step outside the familiar. I want to see the world, experience different cultures, meet people from different countries and learn from their stories. I dream of attending international conferences, being part of global conversations and sitting in rooms where women like me can share their ideas and make a difference.

I also hope that platforms like World Pulse can help me discover opportunities that I may never have imagined for myself — fully funded programmes, international fellowships, conferences and spaces where women from different parts of the world can come together, learn and grow. Sometimes, all we need is one opportunity, one open door and someone who believes that our voice deserves to be heard.

I don’t want to do these things just to travel or collect achievements. I want to discover who I can become when I give myself a chance. I want to learn new things, challenge myself, build my confidence and achieve something through my own efforts.

Being a mother is a beautiful part of who I am, but it is not the only dream I have. I want my children to grow up seeing their mother as someone who had dreams and had the courage to pursue them too.

Maybe my journey will be slow. Maybe it will take time. Maybe there will be many doors that don’t open. But I don’t want fear, responsibilities or circumstances to convince me that my dreams are no longer meant for me.

One day, I want to look back at this version of myself and feel proud — proud that I stepped out of my comfort zone, tried, learned, travelled, connected with the world and created something that was truly my own.

My vision is not to become someone else.
