KAMPALA, Uganda — September 20, 2026 — Ugandan rapper Ivan Wabwire, popularly known as Da Agent, has been recorded by Bossip Africa Records Registry as the fastest rapper in East Africa, following a measurement of his rapid-fire delivery.

The record was entered on September 19 under the Bossip Africa Record Registry, after a passage from Da Agent’s 2024 song Tewepima Nange was timed and analysed for syllable speed.

According to the Bossip Africa Record Registry, the selected passage contained 33 syllables delivered in 3.75 seconds, producing a recorded rate of 8.5 syllables per second (SPS).

The assessment was conducted using a stopwatch while the recording was played at reduced speed to facilitate syllable counting. The assessment also considered the Luganda and English pronunciation used in the passage.

Tewepima Nange was released by Da Agent Official in October 2024 and is listed by music platforms as a 2024 hip-hop/rap release.

Da Agent has been associated with fast-paced Lugaflow delivery and has used the style he describes as “Lugaflo Lufula.” He has continued releasing music in 2026, including Daddy Daddy.

The record is registered under BA-RR-2026-001, the first certificate issued under the Bossip Africa Record Registry for 2026.

The certificate was signed by Nathan Atiluk, Editor-in-Chief of Bossip Africa.
