Every long journey begins with a single step, but for me, those steps were literally taken on foot. Growing up in Gojra, Pakistan, in a large family under severe financial strain, survival was a daily calculation for my parents. With many siblings to care for, financial stress was the backdrop of our household. While other children took rickshaws or buses to school, I walked every single day not because I had endless energy, but because every rupee saved on transportation was a rupee that could keep food on our table or buy a notebook.
Navigating this journey alone taught me self-reliance at a young age. I recognized early on that education was my only weapon against systemic poverty. While the weight of our family’s sacrifices often rested heavily on my shoulders, it never broke my spirit; instead, it ignited a fierce, unshakeable determination to build my future. I have big dreams that drive me relentlessly .I sacrifice sleep and work through the night because I know these dreams must become my reality. My medical journey started from the ground level. To build my foundation, I began working as a Dispenser at Govt. Eye Cum General Hospital Gojra, managing frontline duties across the emergency room, dressing room, lab, and dispensary. Driven to reach further,
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Operation Theater Technology from Government College University Faisalabad. During my studies, I served as an OT Assistant Internee and later as a Doctors' Surgery Assistant at the Pakistan Air Force Hospital, Islamabad, establishing sterile environments, maintaining surgical tools, and upholding strict safety protocols during complex surgeries.
My academic research focused deeply on hospital epidemiology and patient safety. I authored thesis projects on "Laparoscopic Procedure in Minimal Invasive Surgery: Benefits and Challenges" and conducted field studies on "Infection Control and Sterilization Practices in Operation Theater" and "Patient Care Management in Surgical and Emergency Settings". Recognizing my dedication, I was shortlisted for the prestigious Scotland Pakistan Scholarship by the British Council and Scottish Government, an award specifically designed to empower high-achieving women leaders in science. Beyond clinical walls, I actively participated in community health initiatives, including Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness and Diabetes Awareness conferences, reinforcing my conviction that prevention and community education are the true pillars of healthcare. Today, I stand at a defining crossroads. My primary objective right now is to secure a fully funded scholarship in Public Health abroad.
This scholarship is my key to unlocking advanced knowledge, honing my leadership, and continuing my career as an impactful, highly skilled healthcare provider on an international scale. My life’s objective is far bigger than personal success. I am driven to become an influential public health leader who creates, leads, and empowers grassroots communities. My purpose and vision are clear:Secure a Fully Funded Public Health Scholarship: To gain the world-class education required to lead healthcare transformation, design disease prevention frameworks, and master global health management.Continue as a Dedicated Healthcare Leader & Partner with WHO/NGOs:
To bridge clinical excellence with community-level care, working alongside international organizations like the World Health Organization (WHO) and global NGOs to deliver accessible healthcare to under-resourced regions. Build and Mobilize Grassroots Communities: Having lived through poverty, lack of resources, and social barriers, I want to run community health networks that educate women, prevent infectious outbreaks, and support families who have been left behind.
Uplift My Family and Transform My Generation: I am sleepless in the pursuit of my goals because I am determined to permanently break the cycle of financial hardship for my family and stand as living proof for young women that relentless dedication turns dreams into reality.I am a deeply passionate, tireless, and battle-tested woman who has walked through the fire of financial hardship and clinical challenges. My past taught me how to survive; my future in global public health will be dedicated to leading communities, running NGOs, saving lives as a healthcare provider, and ensuring no one suffers the barriers I once faced.
