Should I be sad or grateful nonetheless?

For three days I have felt most comfortable lying down on my bag. My doctor diagnosed thyphiod and am on a mixed treatment protocol for 5 days.

This is the first time in maybe 3 years that I had thyphiod or any illness that knuckles and buckled me up like this. I started feeling bad on Saturday but tried to fight it standing up and even walking (ah the bee in MAG). This is how on Sunday I attended an event organized by the international Victorine NDIKUM Foundation for Single Parents where I was given an award and a certificate of recognition. I couldn't even stay for the celebration and birthday cocktail of the founder aunty Vicky, because I had started shivering again.

I was feeling sad because this is not how I had hoped to launch this Women's month. I mean even working out today was such a tussle I could only manage 10 minutes.

But then, I decided to be grateful. Grateful for the opportunity to honour my body more and just let it be as it takes its time to heal and rejuvenate. Truth be told, I can't spend 3 days lying in bed or resting if am not sick hahahaha.

I am grateful for the well wishes and support from my sisters, and the tips shared on how to aid the health recovery process.

I am grateful for this platform where I can share my story and be vulnerable with my emotions and feelings.

I am grateful because as long as am alive, there is hope.

Life is full of twists and turns, but let's not give up AMEN
